Why donate to Dave? Simply because: you appreciate the broadcast and you understand that nothing is free. David R. Darrow put in 4 years at a commerical art college in the 1980s that would now cost over $100,000 to attend. Dave applied himself, took it his entire education seriously, achieved a BFA with Honors, and went on to produce hundreds of works of art as a freelance illustrator, supporting alone a family of 5 for 16.5 years. You don't do that if you don't know your stuff.
Dave has subsequently taken courses and workshops from some of the best painters and draughtsman around, investing his time and resources into the prospect of being a better painter, understanding what makes a great painting great. Now Dave shares his lifetime of experience, information and art creation with anyone who wants to tune in, in the spirit of sharing. The equipment, computer, cameras, microphones, canvases bushes and paint are all expenses predominantly absorbed by Dave. Donations from kind and generous viewers such as you help to share the load, and should be viewed as an investment in your own art education.
Dave would like to upgrade features of his broadcast including other equipment for taking the broadcast on the road for plein air painting Live. Dave has no idea where this venture can take him and his viewers, but for now, the live show is a blast to do, and Dave is grateful to be able to do it.
